"This hotel was in the perfect location for me. An easy walk from Aomori station but not so close that the resulting people traffic makes it crowded. It was also walking distance from several great places to eat. As for the room, I was expecting it to be small based on the pictures so I knew what I was getting in to. "I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and it was great. Coming back after 5 years a little different. Need to improve on the cleanliness. Pillow smells like it hasn't change at all. Curtains has a lot of stains and air conditioning not working well. This hotel need to refurbish or improve on the cleaning. If i return to Hirosaki, I will opp for another hotel."

"I liked that the hotel was close to the JR train station. There were eating options nearby, but there seemed to be very few actual grocery stores, just convenience stores. The area also seemed to be somewhat run down. But again, the hotel itself was good, and the breakfast was good."

"Great place to stay to get a train from Shin-Aomori stn. Only issue is 4pm check-in as most are 3pm. Room was excellent, had everything you need, block out curtain, hot water and good wifi. Bed a bit hard but had good pillows not the normal rocks in Japan. Didn't use any laundry facilities or free breakfast as early departure at 630am although there was a huge queue at 630 am. I was on 12F and you can hear trains a little bit but people were quiet by 10pm the night I was there. "

"I was on a 15 day trip traveling from Tokyo to Sapporo when Aomori was on our northern Japan road trip. Brand new hotel and spa right in the heart of Aomori! Great staff (Alicia is the best front desk receptionist and concierge) and nice and very clean facility. "The answer was absolutely wonderful. The beds were a little hard, but were okay. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. We love all the amenities that come with the Dormy Inn like the free ramen and the welcome drinks. The breakfast was a good combination of Japanese and continental. There was something for every palate and the dishes were all quite good. We love how convenient the location is in. The parking on premises really helped us navigate Hirosaki."

"While I booked a double-bed room, at check in, I requested a change to twin beds. I was shocked that the extra charge was ¥7,950. At another hotel in Aomori, I did the same and paid ONLY ¥2,000. This Route Inn charge of ¥7,950 was outrageous. As well the breakfast was terrible with very limited choice. I won’t recommend anyone to stay here. The bed was too hard too like I was lying on a concrete floor. "
