"This place is pretty bare-bones. IT is in an industrial part of Koln. There is nothing to do in the immediate vicinity. You need a bus or car to go anywhere else or its a 20 min walk to go to the nearest Grocery store. It was really clean those although there is no refrigerator or microwave which i would heavily suggest that the hotel invest in. Good price though. If i do book again i would make sure to rent a car. Very secure and the cleaning staff is always cheery and nice."

"If you crave perfection...this is not your hotel. This is an older hotel in a spectacular location!! We rented a family suite. It had two bedrooms and a living room and slept 4 adults VERY comfortably. It is not a luxury hotel but it was clean and every request me made was met with cheerful compliance. My only complaint is that the shower is very small...think cruise ship small. It is a 1k walk to the train station to Cologne. "

"Our stay at Friends Hotel was very good! The room was roomy and very clean. Not much of a decor but cleanliness is important to me. The hotel is close to busy road so with the windows open it will be very noisy. I can see it being very hot in the summertime. Fortunately for us it was a 2 comfortable evenings. Breakfast in my opinion was very good with plenty of options. They replenished often, breakfast room is not very big so it can get busy. Overall I liked our stay!"
