"Fabulous spot for a long weekend away from Auckland. The sea view from the main property is amazing, and the pool / games barn a great place for the kids to be entertained. The hosts are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the Kohinui (family) cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and heat pumps/AC in every room. "This was our first night's stay in NZ after the plane from Singapore. V friendly lady on reception who gave us some milk for tea. We were allocated room 6 which was spotlessly clean but needs, in my opinion, a new mattress. It is too soft. Kitchen is well stocked. "

"A great option in Whangarei as it is not in the centre of town although it's very close to the Town Basin. Surrounded by lots of lawn and trees. Great service and a reasonable restaurant. Comfortable room and a good shower. "
