We stayed at this hotel after our flight was cancelled. They were very accommodating considering I booked the reservation late in the evening. For the short time there we enjoyed the dining options, cleanliness and airport transportation.

property was very nice. property retaurants were way to expensive, especially for the quality of food provided. restaurant and bar service was just okay. surprised how hard it was to communicate with bar and restaurant staff. Front desk people were easy to communicate with and very helpful. ended up eating at Punta Cana Village most times as prices, variety, and food quality was MUCH better.

1st - Personnel needs way more training. 2nd - I paid NYC cocktail prices for "all inclusive" quality. Absolutely not worth the price of the stay or cost of drinks. I am not an all inclusive person for this same reason, quality of service and drinks. Food was in fact very good, only thing that was worth the price. The area is too isolated with very limited options on restaurants and bars.

Fantastic stay. Beautiful resort and well maintained. Service was wonderful. Everyone on the staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast buffet was fresh with many options. Dinner was great but limited options for vegetarians or vegans. Wonderful place to just relax, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful beach and scenery. Highly recommend. Not much to do in the village of Punta Cana but a few tour options that can be booked at the hotel.

The Westin should offer more food options on it's hotel menu and should drop the guacamole/ tomatillo from the menu. It was horrible. Please don't order it! It was more of a sour tomatillo sauce.

The rooms are large, as are the balconies. Pools--lovely. Beach--lovely. Food--mediocre and overpriced. Very limited options for vegetarians and for vegans -- really bad. Spa--onsite location is not relaxing. The main spa is lovely. Also overpriced. Service was awful everywhere except the spa (Nok is an excellent massage therapist.). Rude, slow, indifferent. A couple of people were very helpful and friendly: Rosie in the breakfast restaurant, Jonthan and Ramon at the beach bar. Housekeeping was lackadaisical at best. Everything is ready for a refresh. Half the bathroom stalls don't latch/lock. The furniture cushions are grimy and many are split. ANd the noise. Godawful. No sliders on the feet of any chairs, all scraping against the tile floors all the time and in the rooms above and below you. Music 8am - 9pm EVERYWHERE including the beach. And it's the same music every day. In some spots you're subjected to music from the restaurant as well as the property speakers. All in all, really a big disappointment. I've always loved city-based Westin properties. Maybe they don't know how to do resort.
