I was not happy with choices of all inclusive drinks. Anything “top shelf” was a cost. I was really surprised at this and it somewhat dampened by experience. Never experienced this at other all inclusive.

The staff and faculty at Majestic Colonial were amazing. Everyone was respectful, helpful and personable. The location is stunning like no other. The resorts conditions for the most part were up to standard, the food in every dining locations on site was fantastic, and the services/accommodations offered by the resort were wonderful and beyond convenient. My only concern that I seem to have run into was a little bit of a cockroach issue within my hotel room. I made note of this to our room service cleaner, but it appeared that we came across cockroaches numerous times a day. To the point where I felt it was necessary to wash and clean all of our luggage outside prior to packing up to come back to the states. We are aware its to be expected in the Caribbean, but it just felt like a constant battle inside of our room.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Majestic Colonial. The beach was lovely, and we particularly enjoyed the large, shallow swimming pool. There was no shortage of beach and pool chairs, especially in the non-Club member section. The food at the Seafood and Steakhouse was quite good. However, the French and Dominican restaurants fell short of our expectations. There are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The check-in process was lengthy, even with online check-in completed beforehand. Additionally, the Club member benefits didn't seem to offer much value, as the Club sections were often crowded and fully booked. Breakfast at the French restaurant was slow and inaccurate, so the buffet might be a better option. While the rooms were spacious, they could use some updating. We also encountered some minor issues, such as a missing balcony door handle and a poorly fitting bathroom door.
