"Checkin was very inefficient, I had booked 2 connecting rooms and was told only one is ready, instead of sending me the other room’s keycard, I was told to go to the reception again to checkin for the other room when it was ready, in spites of the long queue. The breakfast was chaotic, the staff did not assign tables at the entrance, instead it was free sitting, very poor management. The hotel is rather dated, can be improved with some renovation. Otherwise, the price point is quite reasonable."

"I recently stayed at The Pines Melaka for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive to and from Jonker Street, making it easy to explore the area. We stayed on the 27th floor, and our room offered a beautiful view. However, we were woken up at 5/6 am each morning by the loud chanting from the nearby mosque, which was quite disruptive. "This old home with its history and antique period furnishings is very well managed. Staff always available to help. Breakfast provided was good variety buffet of local and Continental items. The history lesson both in and of the house and Melaka was worth the stay. Air conditioned rooms and comfortable beds. Easy walk to historical areas of Melaka."

"Loved the stay here. Rooms were spacious and staff were very friendly. Its in Little India but its very near to the famous locations in Melaka. The toilets are also very clean and the heaters are working perfectly. Overall, great stay, will come back!"

"Beautiful hotel very close to Jonker Street and great restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and room was clean and comfortable. Very nice remodel of shop houses and we would stay again. I rated it 4 stars as there are a couple of things to improve. Would be nice to have robes provided for use. We were put in a disabled persons’ room which wasn’t a problem except there’s a lack of surfaces in both the room and bathroom. No shower enclosure so water went everywhere. AC was stuck on cold...
