Philip helped us get our room earlier than check in time which was great sunce we arrived at 6 a.m. What I didn't like was the inability of English speaking members of staff who worked in key areas. "My check-out time was 12pm. I went to the front desk requested to check-out at 3pm. Front desk staff said I had to pay $150 to stay until 3pm smh. "Being our 4th visit to a Windsor in Copacabana and our 3rd at the Excelsior we have a level of familiarity, and expectations which are consistently met. The staff on the ground level and front desk, the room cleaning staff, and of course the whole roof top crew are always professional and we have never been let down. Obviously we'll be back again."

"My stay at El Misti was superb!! I stayed in a private room during 7-13 November. It was my first time in Rio, and this was the perfect place to meet people!! They organise lots of events, and having easy access to the beach with a ticket for a free chair is an addes bonus! I can definitely recommend El Misti to others, and will likely stay here (or at least visit the amazing bar during happy hour!!) when I return, muito obrigado El Misti!! Tom"

"The staff was very, very nice. The breakfast was ok, not the best, but it was good. It was buffet style but didn't have much to choose from. The Rooftop was nice, and the gym was acceptable (it has 1 all-in-one and 2 treadmills), but it served its purpose. Honestly, the best part was the views, helpful staff, and the fact that I could walk onto the beach in less than a minute. If I come back to Rio, I'll be staying in the same hotel! "
