"The hotel was well located on a busy commercial street that feels very safe. The metro station is at the corner as is the streetcar. There a plenty of restaurants of all types especially along the side streets. The hotel lobby is very impressive , the staff very friendly and the property has busy all day restaurants. Also included is a nice gym & spa. I was upgraded to a larger king on a lower floor away from the main street and it was very comfortable "

They turn off the air conditioning seasonally, which means you can't really control the temperature in the rooms. I guess if your preference is to sleep in a sauna it's fine. "In general I like this hotel. It was my second stay there. They have a lovely breakfast and the area is very good for both walkability and transportation. I did have an issue with the curtains in my superior room. They would not close over the dramatic double height window, so sleeping was going to be a problem. They were only able to downgrade my room due to current availability, but I did have a good nights sleep and I would recommend room 403, which is a standard double."
