"Really liked the bedrooms and access to the beach. Staff were friendly although not always able to accommodate requests as the hotel was so busy. The hotel was super busy over the holiday weekend and there simply are not enough facilities to accommodate. Breakfast areas were overflowing. No where to sit. Evening dining also overflowing and reservations not available until beyond 9:30pm. Staff very overwhelmed and quality of food poor. Pool area too small for number of guests. Rooms very noisy -...

"We had no idea what to expect as we booked last minute without doing any research nor looking at pictures. Also the name, One & Only Desaru, is somewhat non-descript, it doesn't evoke much... This is a 5-star resort, an oasis secluded from the world, large luxurious villas, private beaches and all -- and also, I guess, from paparazzis! That kind of a place. Top, top, top.
