"We had a great overnight stay at the Bella Vista! The managers were very friendly and offered some helpful tips when we told them we were heading to the South Island after checking out. The motel is in a really nice part of Wellington with a nice cafe a short walk away and great restaurants a bit further up the hill. Would definitely stay there again."

"Parking is an issue but a surface car park next door worked out well. It’s more of an aparthotel and the unit was well equipped, including a washer and dryer. No bar and no reception after 7pm. Lots of shops nearby."

"I chose to pay a premium to stay here because of the pool and hot tub, but sadly the pool area was a bit gross - grubby, slightly murky water and the hot tub was "temporarily" out of action for repair, but looked like it had been in that state for a while with a missing tile and filthy inside. I only swam once in a 2 night stay where i normally would swim twice a day. The room was good, bed was a bit hot due to the latex mattress. Shower was just OK. Great location but not worth the extra 30%...

"We knew this wasn't going to be a super flash place. It is what it says it is, a safe and convenient place to stay at a reasonable price. The room was not super clean, but the bed sheets were. The car park is very tight, but we still managed to get our Toyota Estima in and out. I was surprised at how quiet it was. Would stay here again, but keep your expectations in check. This is convenient more than fabulous."

"This property was a very good choice for its location and for having off street parking included in the price of accommodation. We were able to walk to dining and attractions such as the Te Papa museum. It is not fancy, but it is clean, well maintained, with a friendly staff. "

"Lovely hotel in the CBD within walking distance of the train station and numerous eateries. Staff was friendly and very responsive when we needed to check-in late. Room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The "little" touches of provided toiletries and tea/coffee was an added bonus."
