It looks to be outside of Skaneateles and technically that is true, but it is 5 minute drive next to the lake with beautiful homes, etc. The building itself is beautiful, old but with a lovely aesthetic. "34 State is simply a gorgeous 18th century (?) home furnished and decorated with impeccable period style! Tasteful and elegant guest suites, great linens, wonderful help-yourself amenities in a thoughtfully stocked pantry. All of this steps away from the storybook lakefront village of Skaneateles. Just a delight for a weary traveler!"

"What a marvelous snowy getaway at 2W Lake B&B! Host Clark was attentive, responsive, and provided a wealth of knowledge about the area. We especially enjoyed relaxing conversations with him after he served sumptuous morning meals. The room was immaculate, well-appointed, and quite cozy with a stunning lake view. Highly recommend!!"

"I have two suggestions. 1. Jimmy Dean sausage would be amazing instead of what you are using. 2. Put a vent in the bathroom. This would prevent too much moisture, make it possible to vent stinky odors and the wall paper was peeling off the wall in our bathroom. So this might save money on wallpaper maintenance in you bayhrooms."

"I liked the place we were staying in but definitely bring your own blanket cause they only give you one. The bed was huge and and comfy and the room felt like a cabin which was cool and it was a pretty big room. The only thing was the bathroom was a little dirty when we got there but just the shower. I would stay here again! "

"VERY good stop over spot. Hotel very clean, very well appointed. Staff very helpful, professional. Multiple very good restaurants within one mile. Walking distance to gas mart. We had a dog, very welcoming, lots of space to walk. Totally recommend. Would return."

"It is a fine place for a night or two. Personally, I was happy that the hotel provided access to our Netflix account so we could relax continuing to watch the series we were watching at home. That was a nice touch, as was the complimentary fruit always available."
