"We had a room facing the ocean which had a great view and nice ocean breeze. The hotel was a little dated but very comfortable and clean. There was no AC but the fans and the ocean breeze was enough to cool the rooms. There was some street noise with the open widows though if you are a light sleeper and can't use ear plugs. "Vista mare mozzafiato, camera molto ampia addirittura con 2 letti aggiuntivi oltre al matrimoniale. Arredi, tende e copriletto un po' datati. Bagno ampio ma poca attenzione ai dettagli.(mancava gancio per mantenere la doccia in alto, lo sciacquone aveva un rubinetto che eroga poca acqua e non era bloccato con la vite ma si staccava ad ogni utilizzo. "We used the Hotel Venere as a bed and breakfast base to cycle around the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano. Being out of the main holiday season the area was quite with only one restaurant open in Ascea - but this had the advantage that the roads were quite. The hotel is only a short distance from the railway station meaning that it was easy to transport bikes."
