I absolutely loved Old Orchard Beach! It was my first time going and I had so much fun. I enjoyed the arcades, the restaurants, the bars, the people, the amusement park, and The Pier. This place evoked a feeling of adventure, I had fun exploring.

Amazing beach, a lot of restaurants, bars, shopping, all in walking distance of each other. Can't wait to be back

It is unique unto itself along the coast of Maine. I recall the pier amusement park prior to its burning down in 1969, so I am familiar with the place. Its prime reason to exist still stands, an entertaining place along the shore.

Loved the history of it! Looked like it would be such crazy fun for a family's summer trip...but it was very quiet the 1st week in October...exactly what my husband & I needed!

So nostalgic, riding the roller coaster was a bucket list item for me and it did not disappoint. I would recommend it to everyone.

We were only there overnight to catch a flight in the morning. Stayed outside of Portland because it was cheaper. OOB has a nice beach just a block from the motel. The motel was also walking distance to shops and restaurants, but we didn't go.

This stay was very close to the pier and would be within walking distance to shops during the summer season. Ample photo opportunities of the beach. Doordash and instacart are available to this location.

We had not been to Old Orchard Beach in many years. It is an active town with many shops and such. Did not walk downtown but driving through saw the amusements and playland which many would enjoy.
"We had a great time at Alouette! It was our first ever time to Old Orchard and we did not know what to expect. It was so convenient to the beach, parking was easy, the onsite cafe was a great option for breakfast. We will definitely recommend to others and stay there again."
"Staff was super friendly & informative. It’s an older motel in a beach town, but it’s very well maintained. Room cleanliness, staff presence, room service quality are all excellent. Definitely will be our first choice for future trips to Old Orchard Beach."
"This place is great. I've stayed at other motels in OOB but this one has been the best so far and will book again. The rooms divide into two, which feels more spacious and love how all the rooms open up to the courtyard which is grassy and great for small kids. The pool is a huge plus being heated and saltwater vs chlorine. Hoses outside the pool area provide quick clean-ups from sand. The beach is beautiful and in front of the hotel. Our room had a kurig machine which you get pods at the front desk and came with dishsoap, 2 mugs, microwave, small fridge, and ice bucket. Excellent space for small kids. Air conditioner worked great but we hardly used it. Room has a ceiling fan in the living room area. Bathroom while tiny was clean and recently remodled. A few cons- there was way too much furniture in the room with 2 dining chairs and 2 sitting chairs, coffee table, 2 lamp tables. It was a bit cluttered. 2nd con was the staff- they seemed so disinterested. When i checked in i felt they couldn't care less just gave me the key and zero info. When i inquired about staying another day they informed me that the room was already booked but didn't even suggest another room which were available and i considered booking online, they just didn't care. So odd. Perhaps they are just so over customer service during peak season. I understand but if i were the owner i would certainly be striving for better customer service."
