"We really loved the location and staff at this hotel - the view is BEAUTIFUL over-looking the lake and was the highlight of the hotel and they've created cute decks in front of each room which are nice to relax on. The rooms and beds are fine but we did have bugs (including a cockroach) in the room. I understand this is sometimes common in Costa Rica so we try to be understanding about that, but it did poorly impact our night's sleep. Ultimately, we were happy we chose to stay at the lake...

"I am giving a 5 star to the owner for trying to help, but unfortunately only a 2 stars for the property. The bedding and bathroom were clean and good. The description and the pictures are extremely misleading. There are no 3 Queen Beds and 1 Twin bed, but 2 twin beds. There is no internet in the bedroom, and even in the: "main lodge open room” internet is only connected when the owner connects it via his phone (tethering), and I suppose that he must have a limited amount of data as the internet...

"It was a quaint no frills hotel perfectly situated in a quiet area near the town on fortuno. Breakfast was delicious. We were a 6 person family and fit comfortably in their six person suite. Would come again. Thanks for a great stay. Loved all the beautiful flowers and hummingbirds in the area. "
