"A last min booking for new years eve! I booked a family room for myself , Hubby and 7 year old son. The day arrived and the weather forecast was awful and nearly stopped our visit however after prompt, helpful communication from Regan we decided to try and brave the travel. "The food at the bar was excellent and the staff were great. My single room had a fire escape view with a bright security light near the window. The plumbing was really noisy til midnight on my first night but fine the next. Room facilities were good. "

"Staff were fantastic. Hotel building and location were amazing. Great views across to the straights and mountains. Breakfast was really good, dinner was ok. Main issue was that we were not in the main building but a separate one (lodge). Walls there are paper thin unfortunately and could hear everything in room next door. Boiler from room nextdoor was also super loud. Not great for 200 a night! I'm sure the rooms in the main building are much better so would be good to come back and stay in them...

"Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it.
