"We spent 5 days at Casa San Agustin for our anniversary, and this was the perfect place to celebrate! The hotel is beautiful, clean and in the middle of everything. Staff was gracious and accommodating. I definitely recommend spending a day at Acasi beach - stunning and relaxing. Dinner at their restaurant was superb. Shout out to Laura for making our 25th an anniversary we will never forget!"

"Hotel staff were very nice and location was great. The room itself was comfortable, however the bathroom was pretty small. We also didn’t have any hot water during our 4 night stay so that was unpleasant. The breakfast was also not great - the most edible options were the eggs that they can make any style and the fruit assortment (luckily there are plenty of cafes nearby). "We had a lovely stay at this property. Eric especially made our stay memorable; he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The property itself is beautiful. Very private and quiet. We booked a Studio Suite and couldn’t have been happier - it was clean and spacious. One thing to note was the hot water in the shower didn’t work sometimes, but not a big deal overall. Maybe this is commonplace for this area from time to time. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend."

"Such a wonderful hidden gem right around the corner to all the top bars, restaurants and sites in the walled city. According to the front desk, the casa used to be the US Embassy. The hotel has only a few apartments. Our room included a living room, two full baths, laundry room, and a bedroom with a view of the beautiful courtyard. " Nice room but too much noise. Party central. On 2nd floor could hear the party noise for hours coming from the first floor until 1am. Breakfast was good. Not sure I would recommend it for a mature patron."

"At a hotel of this quality some items or in short supply: towels, lighting in the room, coffee pods for the coffee maker. Bar soap. Air conditioning works great but it was almost impossible to adjust the thermostat in our room, which needs replacement. The rooftop pool is an oasis of calm and I a city buzzing with tourists. It should be noted that in this humidity, a towel never dries after use. Breakfast buffet is plentiful. Vooked items are mostly fried."

"A Magical Stay at Santa Catalina Hotel in Cartagena Our family of five had an absolutely wonderful stay at Santa Catalina Hotel in Cartagena. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredible staff, who went above and beyond to make our experience special. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. The hotel’s location is perfect—right in the heart of the historic center, making it easy to explore Cartagena’s charming streets, vibrant plazas, and incredible restaurants on foot. Despite being so centrally located,our room itself was a peaceful oasis, offering an escape from the city’s lively energy. The property is stunning, with a rich history as a former monastery that has been beautifully restored while preserving its colonial charm. Traveling as a family with teenagers and kids, we found the hotel to be both welcoming and accommodating. The rooftop pool was a favorite spot for our children to unwind, while we enjoyed some drinks and views of the city. Every detail, from the comfortable rooms to the delicious breakfast, exceeded our expectations. Santa Catalina Hotel is truly a gem, and we will definitely return on our next visit to Cartagena.
