"It's simply a unique, luxurious, tranquil & liberating place with impeccable service (thanks to Dirk, Roy, the housekeepers and dining staffs) and a wonderful vibe for romance! The only thing we didn't like was the initial drive up to the property but, beyond that, it was a lovely romantic retreat !"

"Overall a very average stay and really not worth the cost. Our room was in desperate need of maintenance. There was terrible dampness and damage to the bathroom cupboards, all the cupboards in the room had not been cleaned which was v unpleasant and the aircon also had issues. Also we were told that breakfast was served at 8am however we were only managing to get breakfast at around 8.40 as staff had not arrived yet and the restaurant wasnt even open yet. We ended up missing our quad biking...

"Great stay for a family vacation. Great amenities for kids and safe for kids to play around the resort. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very neat and clean. Pools are great. Heated pools will be even better. Maybe an idea for colder weather. "

"Overall good and safe experience. It felt like having your own house in nature next to the Kruger National Park. That house was for me alone with plenty of space and total beds for up to 4 persons. It was all clean and tidy. The only downside is that it wasn't climatic controlled the only cooling devices are fans which can be cold during night. Don't expect a 5 Star hotel but you get the local experience."

"A hidden gem. Lovely welcome from Connie, who is a fantastic hostess. Accomm is convenient for Kruger Park with two gates close by. The location is quiet and beautiful with a pool and gardens. Breakfast was very good Would definitely stay again if in the area"

"Our stay at Summerfield Hotel was truly delightful. The tented rooms were both comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing experience. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive, which added to the charm of our visit. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would happily return."

"Casa do Sol was quiet compared to our previous stays here but this didn't stop the staff doing everything they could to make our stay agreeable. Of particular note was the high standard of the food which we thoroughly enjoyed. Go now and enjoy as the hotel will soon be busy again. A great place to stay before you go into Kruger."

"We would definitely recommend Lion Sand’s River Lodge! We came here for our honeymoon and this was the most special holiday of our lives. We stayed in the River Suite, which was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The service was fantastic - every member of staff (whether that be in the restaurant, behind the bar, cleaning staff, reception, etc) were incredibly kind, chatty and attentive. The food during our stay was excellent. The highlight of this trip was certainly the game drives. We had Jason (field guide) and Abraham (tracker) and both guys were incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and just very nice people - we really hope that our paths cross again some day! We have been given memories that will last a life time! Josh & Jennifer "

"Really good and perfect for us!We needed to be close to an airport and Kruger Park for safari, so that we could fly in, go safari, fly out without long drives as our time was restricted. So this was perfect. It is only ~30 mins from Skukuza airport and also 30min drive to Paul Kruger Gate, entrance to Kruger Park. It is a 3star accommodation but it is super-nice.We stayed in the Luxury Cabin overlooking the Sabie River. It has 2 bedrooms,sitting room,really nicely tiled bathroom, and a fantastic porch to sit and watch the wildlife on the river-a family of hippos was daily viewing and a crocodile sunning on the river bank. There is also a decked area for all guests with small swimming pool, overlooking the river. Again perfect for watching wildlife on the river while enjoying a cold drink! Lovely grounds and gardens meticulously cared for. Very friendly, helpful staff. The bar is nice with satelite TV to show sports- eg Premier league and European football.We were halfboard, breakfast very good (full English, omelette) and dinner also very good and varied each night.They arrange safari for an extra cost (amount very reasonable compared to other places). And the safari guides were great, really knowledgeable and keen to maximise our experience. We saw all the big 5 on the first day-even leopard which is difficult at the best of times. And Skukuza Airport is actually in Kruger Park.So safari starts from pick up at airport as you go to Sabie River Lodge! Highly recommended!"
