Cons: To start, the walk to the property is the furthest walk on the entire street practically only up hill walking. It is quite annoying to get anywhere if you want to leave the property. "Large space in Hakone and very reasonably priced. Good for large groups of fit, young people. Recommended parking is up a very steep hill and stairs to second floor are a little narrow and steep. The house was otherwise clean and comfortable."

"Ten-Yu was amazing. The property, staff, food, and town were all amazing. The hot spring water was invigorating and relaxing. The private onsen had a beautiful waterfall, the public garden was great. We didn’t try the bar, but did have dinner at the restaurant which was good, followed by a breakfast which had copious amounts of food for all tastes."
