Andon Ryokan

2.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (149)
"Property is located in a quiet residential area which was nice. Overall condition of property was good and amenities were all clean. I really appreciated the Japanese breakfast options as they were all delicious and freshly prepared. The only annoyance I found, really, was that the my bedroom door was pretty thin and I could easily hear my neighbors scuffling around and talk outside of my room as it was in front of the washroom/sink. This wasn't a problem in the morning as I was already awake,...

HOTEL TOMOS ASAKUSA

2.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (56)
"This is a delightful boutique hotel that is located in a quiet neighbourhood. It is still walkable to the subway (about 10 mins) and close to the main Asakusa attractions (7-8 min walk). The staff are super friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Room wise, the rooms are very spacious by Japanese standards and have comfortable beds. The toilet is separate from the shower and it was one of the modern Panasonic ones that washes and dries. Shower pressure was...

TORA HOTEL Sensoji SUNNY

2.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (7)
"Nice property with more room than the average hotel. Everything was clean. The bathroom was nice because it had a bath tub and shower. The bed was the old school spring box. It was comfy enough. The bidet was great. It's walking distance to a temple, but far away from everything else. It's located in the historical geisha row and some "bath" houses are still in business. A commute to Harajuku was almost an hr travel time, and Ginza was about 40 min. The closest train station was a 12 min walk....

WAGOKORO - Hostel

2.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (74)
"We stayed in a 2-bed room for 10 nights. You should expect the bathroom to be small, but it has everything we needed. The hotel has a common area kitchen, which we didn't use much, but also the room itself had a little fridge and a table. There is a laundromat literally across the street if you need to do laundry. The staff was SO nice the entire time!!! We really enjoyed our stay here while in Japan!"

Hotel SAILS

2.5 star property

"Fairly accessible from the closest subway station. A decent selection of convenience stores and dining options near the hotel. The list of recommendations in the book supplied in the room is outdated. Staff is amazing and responsive. I noticed I can hear movements from neighbouring rooms."

"Excellent location in Asakusa and less than three minute walk to Shinshoji Temple. Short walk to the Tsukuba Express or Orange Tokyo Metro line. Bed mattresses will be quite stiff so keep that in mind. Stiff mattresses are common in Japan. "

Stay SAKURA Tokyo Asakusa Edo no Mai

2.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (13)
"The only reason I didn’t give this excellent all around was that it was a long walk to the Metro. There were buses but we didn’t take them…silly us. Also the staff was sparse but when someone was at reception they were all helpful and friendly. Great bathroom!"
