"Room was smaller than expected "

"A bit out of the way from the train station. Had to take Uber everywhere coz the bus was not on schedule maybe because it’s a weekend? Unsure about this. The toilet has no door and the shower room has a clear glass without curtains. Besides these the rest are OK. Love the jacuzzi in the room. Got free ice cream and nice breakfast too. Would not mind to stay again in this but hopefully the hotel can at least give some curtains to the shower and toilet area. "

"Not sure if we just got a bad room or they're all bad, but my family was bitten by mysterious bugs. Maybe bed bugs in addition to mosquitos. But it was very scary and unpleasant. We will not stay here again even if it was free. Service was not bad, but can't make up for the bug bites. We had 10+ bites per person. "

"Quaint hotel located about 10 minutes from the train station. Though the name is 133, the address is 143 and the entrance is via one of the shop units which leads to a corridor converted from the shop space leading to the hotel at the end. Look out for the signboard at the side of the shophouse building. "Great location, walkable distance to many famous landmarks: Taichung Train Station, Miyahara store, Taichung City Hall. It is close to lots of good eateries, restaurants, and milk tea stores. At the corner, there is a bakery that we highly recommend; it has excellent sandwiches and is always crowded. The reception staff is very helpful. The reception area is welcoming with some snacks and a warm delicious date drink. We got Room 715. It is of decent size and has a balcony. Due to some mistakes from Expedia, we had some confusion about the room that was assigned to us. We are grateful that Steven at the reception desk worked hard with his manager Derek to resolve the issue. The hotel does not have breakfast. We appreciate having a Nespresso machine in the room. In addition, Nespresso capsules, snacks, and soft drinks are provided daily. There is no laundry facility. But across the street, there is a 24 hour self-service laundromat."

"This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, that it's in Taiwan, where expectations of hotels is low makes that even more impressive! The hotel itself is on is Ita Thao side of Sun Moon lake, which in my opinion is the better side. We didn't like the Main side as much. You step out the door pretty much onto the main road with all the street food vendors for snacks/breakfast/lunch/dinner. As they shut up by 7pm it doesn't disturb you in the evening. The food on the road is great and very cheap. The staff were fantastic and super helpful with great english. The hotel had a lovely bar you could sit in and get a beer or a cocktail in the evening. The executive club on the roof had incredible views of the lake and lovely drink and food options. Our room was one of the best and most high tech rooms I have ever stayed in as well as super clean. Free mini bar too. The hot and cold spring tubs we used every day and I even started to enjoy the cold tub! The only complaint would be that the room was so high tech with the lights and curtains that it was hard to work out which light switches did what and there was no setting to just have a single side lamp on for reading. The gym had really good new Matrix kit, but I would have preferred not to be able to hear the yells from the Sports bar side while working out as it felt a bit intimidating as well as annoying. A more robust soundproofed partition would be better. Overall and excellent hotel though."
