"This hotel is an absolute gem. They likely don’t need another glowing review, but I’ll happily give one. In addition to being perfectly situated—just distant enough from the throngs but still very, very close to everything—it’s gorgeous inside, with tons of old world charm, along with all the modern conveniences. The staff were so wonderful, making me reservations at two of the most incredible restaurants in town. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"This is a beautiful, but old building, with spacious rooms, a and high ceilings. But it is dark. Only one window that does not let in much light. So used our lights a lot. The property is in Trastevere, which is popular and busy, but our room was really quiet. The front desk/proprietor was extremely helpful in making a restaurant reservation and booking a car to the airport."

"An absolutely gorgeous hotel which is convenient for exploring the city. The room was very comfortable, clean and a delight to stay in. The only downside, the walls seemed very thin, giving no insulation, so we could here theother guests in other rooms, was a bit of a distraction when we needed an early night!"

"A beautiful old castle that has been completely refurbished/modernized on the inside, sitting on a beautiful property with nearby forests, vineyards, and olive groves. After the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence, the serenity here was perfection. We stayed in the 'deluxe double room' which was absolutely fantastic. We arranged a vespa rental and rode through the countryside to the nearby Castellina in Chianti and cute hilltop town and took a wonderful cooking class at Taverna Squarcialupi. The restaurant on site is also lovely, the staff friendly and helpful. Love this place! Also a pool for warmer weather (it was a bit cold in mid October) and hiking which we would have done if we stayed even one additional night."
