"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was an upgrade so we had a balcony and wonderful of the old city of Carcassonne. The bedroom had a huge open plan bathroom with large, round bath. We used the swimming pool, which is indoors and very nice for a quick dip. The breakfast was lovely! "

"Excellent location very close to the walled city and with easy included parking. Easy check-in in an attractive lobby. Well appointed comfortable rooms complete with slippers and robes. Openable Windows, comfortable bed and pillows. However in our room, and especially in our bathroom, the lighting was poor and needs improvement. "We had an excellent 1 night stay at Sowell Le Chevaliers. The staff was very patient during our check in. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Carcassonne. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a walkout spacious terrace. We wish we could have stayed another night. The view we had of the walled city and overlooking the river (with bird activity) was a treat."
