"We heard great reviews for this hotel from friends in Manado, so we booked a room for our stay. I’m giving five stars because I believe my friends. However, a volcano meant that our flight turned around 30 minutes before we were supposed to land in Manado. We couldn’t use our reservation. I wrote to Expedia and the hotel to cancel the reservation. Expedia said they couldn’t refund the money because they needed to first receive the consent of the hotel and the hotel didn’t respond the hotel...

"The hotel is in a huge complex that also includes a hospital under the control of the same owner. My wife and I were perfectly satisfied with the room, which had a balcony overlooking the parking lot and, beyond it, a cemetery. "We had the king bed with partial sea view on the 6th floor. Check in was flawless because they allowed us to store our luggage before 2pm. They took our luggages to the room and gave us the key when we got there late in the evening. The room is spacious with extra day bed by the big window. "Room was clean and comfortable, with a good bathroom, but a view only to the building wall next door. Breakfast was disappointing and not very appetising. Dinner was ok but misswording of the offer available at the time meant too much food was brought and we were overcharged, though the staff were kind enough to correct this after some explaining. The wifi stopped working unfortunately. The location was good for the immigration office but otherwise a long walk or taxi ride to the centre."

"The villa we booked was not available when we arrived. I had booked and paid months earlier and was extremely upset. The gave us a new duplex which smelt of cement and the shower flooded.
