"We were in Lake Placid for the World Championships for Bobsled and Skeleton. We arrived in foggy and rainy conditions and had an issue with slippery conditions. The staff was excellent in attending to our concerns. The rooms were immaculate and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was big and had everything we needed. I particularly liked the radiator being right under the towel bar so I could have a warm towel after a shower. The rooms have their own thermostats so you can control each room’s temp. There’s a small refridge in each room and a bottle of Saratoga water. They offer a breakfast basket delivered to your door which is filled with little pastries, yogurt, jams, hard boiled eggs, oranges and some other goodies. Hot coffee was delivered in a big thermos. It exceeded my expectations. I think we could have gone to the reception area for breakfast, also. The reception room, where we checked in, was very welcoming, especially after a long travel day. There was a fire going and I just wanted to plop down in one of the big chairs and zonk out. I was very impressed by the attention to detail with the whole experience. Carolina and Patrick on the staff were particularly helpful. I didn’t realize the rooms had no tvs til we got there, but we didn’t miss them at all. I highly recommend staying here."

"I recently stayed at the Waterfront Rooms at High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and had a beautiful view of the water. The resort’s location is perfect—right in the heart of Lake Placid and just a short drive to Whiteface Mountain, making it an excellent choice for both relaxation and adventure. A special shoutout to Rodrigo at the reception desk, who went above and beyond to accommodate us with an early check-in. His warm welcome and helpful attitude made a great first impression and set the tone for a wonderful stay. The staff overall were friendly and attentive, and the resort’s proximity to Main Street made it easy to explore local shops and restaurants. I highly recommend High Peaks Resort and look forward to visiting again!"

"Great to place to stay when skiing at whiteface. Convenient location to the Olympic Legacy sites, easy drive to Whiteface Mount. Hot tub was great to soak in after a day of skiing. "

"Very pleased with amenities - full kitchen (including dishwasher) and lots of pans, dishes, implements. Responsive two-zone heating. Elevator. Excellent location in center of town - easy walk to restaurants, shops, attractions. Free parking (good deal since town has paid parking). Price was competitive for area. Only negative was the lots wasn’t plowed well - lots of deep ruts with ice, slush, hard snow. We will definitely return!!"
