If I had to do it all over again I would pick a hotel near the royal palace, the area is much nicer than the area hard rock hotel is in. I felt like I was in Downtown Los Angeles. If you plan on staying at the hard rock hotel I would try to find somewhere else.

The staff are great and helpful. We did have an issue with our Chromecast not working at all which we only discovered on the last night. The staff said we could change rooma but it was late at night. So we had to watch tv on our laptop. Not the end of the world but not the greatest considering we upgraded and paid extra for this room. They comped one night of the upgrade but feel it should of been all three nights.

Rooms were standard, staff were not friendly except the young man who helped us with our bags. No extras as with other Spain hotel such as complimentary wine. Staff did not know anything about where to buy soccer tickets, the biggest sport in Europe

Room was a bit dirty and furniture wasn't straight like someone had been in the room before me. Receptionist made a point of telling me that I will be charged and that she had taken money from my card if I smoked in the room Don't know why there is so many bits of paper attached to everything in the room telling you, you will be charged if you take it, from the laundry bag to the water bottle, strange attitude to have.

Hard Rock Hotel - Madrid was so fun to stay at. The moment you step in, their funky vibe and colourful decor/concept entice you. Their service was great. Their rooms were clean and spacious. We were very satisfied with our stay.

I liked that the staff was very friendly and accommodating with my limited knowledge in Spanish. Carmen at the front desk especially was very helpful in accommodating us with holding our package until check in time and as well as giving us information on what there is to do in Madrid. Overall me and my father had an amazing experience during our 6 day excursion in Spain .
