"The staff was very helpful especially when my Uber did not arrive to take me to the train station. They were able to order a taxi that arrived in minutes so I did not miss my train. The breakfast buffet is very nice with a good selection of items for all tastes."

"Superb historical location at the edge of old town. Perfect for a 3-4 day stay when visiting Lyon 1st time. Historic building means there are certain physical limitations but they did a great job with decors & renos. I rate it 4.25 stars by international hotel standards. Showers can be cleaner. Stairways outside can smell due to historical layout. Parking is a bit of a pain if you are not used to cramped euro-style & not in same building."

"On the whole it was a lovely hotel, my only real complaint was lack of fresh air. The wind was a tilt and turn window and had a note saying there was a opening limit as is common in all multi story hotels. However our window catch was broken so they had screwed the window shut. It meant the room was very stuffy. It would cost about £10 for a new window catch and takes about 10 minutes to change. Screwing the window shut is not the right thing to do. "The room was really hot so couldn’t sleep. The beds were made up singles but pushed together like a double, we wanted a twin. On arrival we had to change rooms as the first room they gave us had a baby cot. One of the lifts stopped working and there was no evening food available and no shops near by. I wouldn’t stay there again as I didn’t feel like I slept at all!"

Excellent Olympic stay!

"The room was excellent, just enough room for 3 people and all our stuff without us being too cramped. We only used the room for sleeping, so it was perfect. The shower was much larger than expected and much appreciated! Everything was very clean, and staff was helpful and friendly."

Great welcome and super friendly staff!

"I stayed 2 nights on business. All the staff were super helpful, very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable but could perhaps do with some upgrading. It would have been good if the hotel sold cold drinks as I had to go out after finishing work at c 21:00 and Villeurbanne did not feel terribly safe."
