"The hotel is located within walking distance of Lavender MRT. A supermarket is located across the road as well as a food centre. There is a swimming pool in the hotel. Access to the main lobby is via stairs. There is a ramp to the side of the building but I did not see sign postings. I am unable to open the window for fresh air (not that you need to due to Singapore's humidity). The room is not big, suitable for solo and couples. It is a "budget" hotel after all that is conveniently...

"The hotel is excellent for traveling on a budget. True, the rooms are small but this is certainly NOT a capsule hotel. It is a well maintained facility, includes breakfast and I had an excellent night's sleep. Upon checking in, the front desk clerk was fantastic. My only negative was the checkout when a different clerk was downright snarly and rude. With that singular bad point, I'd certainly stay here again. "

"Pretty basic hotel, would prefer to stay in something better. But for the price (in Singapore) it's ok and ideal if you are just after a bed to sleep in. Staff are friendly and willing to help. Good location for getting around Singapore, situated between Little India and Bugis (both walking distance). 3 MRT stations in close proximity, so plenty of options for travelling to other parts of Singapore. This was my second stay at Hotel 81 Rochor."
