Very good location, with many attractions nearby. Right across from a shopping mall and surrounded by bus and metro stations. Great breakfast with many options. The hotels coffee shop offered very good coffee and sweets. Very nice view from the room. One thing to improve for families with kids would be a kids menu in the restaurant for lunch and dinner and maybe a play room.

This was my second stay here as it is very convenient to Raffles city shopping centre and City Hall station which is on the green line from Changi. The hotel itself was as i remembered with clean and tidy rooms. Quiet with beautiful views from higher rooms. Sadly the reception staff were a little less friendly than my previous visit. They are efficient, but lack the extra friendliness i would expect at a hotel of this level. Also, i would like to see the poolside bar functioning, it was never staffed for my whole visit. The gym was great.

They were nice to cater to our request for nice view. But we did not get connecting rooms in the end... sad abt that. And the room has a smelly wet carpet smell..... bt for 1 night we ok. Still love the hotel in overall.

TL;DR: A little dated given the age of the building, otherwise good. Fantastic gym and very well equiped; perhaps the best I’ve seen in a hotel. Think gym, but smaller (obviously) and there’s only one of each machine with body parts combined on one equipment to maximise space. Cardio wise, treadmills, Stages indoor trainer, indoor bike, rower, stepper, assault runner… you get the picture; is very nice! Located on a main road, so there’s an emergency siren here or there, otherwise it’s as quiet as it gets. King size bed; meh comfy. A/C is well needed, but performs OK. Old units, so a bit noisy relatively speaking. This was my 4th night in Singapore with the 1st 3 nights spent at the sister hotel in Tanjong Pagar. And while I had no issues sleeping the first three nights, the 4th nights sleep was just not happening. Overall it’s a decent hotel, and as a non-expert in hotel classes, would say the 4.5 stars? is about right. Wouldn’t not go back, but also would be looking at options before I commuted, especially considering the sister hotel being a hop and a skip down the road for a little extra change in your pocket. NB: Proximity to Marina Bay Sands and the river are a bonus. Can loop the Marina and run along the river and back in circa 10k. Take your phone with you for all the photos you’re going to want to take.

air con not working, Engineer could not change temp. only 3 electrical outlets in room. only 2 worked. hand held shower must be held. it should be on swivel that hits you so you can use 2 hands to shower. only rain shower works, you must get hair if most ladies would not like that if you want to shower. very young man extending my stay on sunday took more than 10 minutes to complete extension. front desk staff on other days when check in or extension were superb.
