"A large, well-maintained and well-managed complex. Friendly staff. The rooms are spread out along extensive corridors. Our room was at the end of one, no lifts and up and down staircases! Food excellent but wine is expensive."

"The room was good with a large bathroom and perfectly acceptable. But it wasn't great. No chairs to sit in, only window seats which were uncomfortable. We were in room 1, right by the front door so rather noisy until the restaurant closed and our window (with a great view) was by the front door, so it felt a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Would I stay again? Maybe, it was OK, just not great."

Nice hotel, with some small issues, but incredibly

"Lovely older, but updated, hotel very convenient to everything in Oban. The only issue was the bathroom. Understanding that rooms and bathrooms were designed by the building, but the bathroom was small. The door had to be opened or closed fully to move into the bathroom. Also the shower was small and if you are a larger person you cannot get into or out of the shower opening. Other rooms did not have this issue. Having said this, we would stay here again if/when we return to Oban."

"Lovely place, quiet and a good size for me with en-suite bathroom. There is an attached pub and beer garden area and a small pub with a stove too. Staff checking us in and pub staff were friendly, helped us order in food and owner told a bit about the renovations and history which hooked me. Only drawback is there is no shared space, waiting or sitting area and no lift. I was glad we booked there and had only one flight to walk! "

"This was a fabulous hotel. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this private island escape. If you get a chance, upgrade to a spa room, they are amazing! The staff were lovely, the rooms very comfortable, bar and meals were great. Really enjoyed the accommodations and would very much like to visit again!"
