Unfortunately we had a first floor room right near the entrance to the hotel and it seemed the metro system must have been right below the surface. You could hear every train go by. Arrived at the hotel the first day of our 14-day Portugal trip, and immediately was greeted by an extremely nice front desk staff who quickly checked us in.
