Las Vistas Beach is one of the largest and most popular beaches in Arona, with calm waters and plenty of space to spread out a towel. Visit this idyllic beach as the perfect place to spend an afternoon swimming, snorkeling or relaxing in the sand.
Covering an area 2,800 feet (850 metres) long and 415 feet (126 metres) wide, Las Vistas Beach feels spacious and uncrowded despite its popularity. Swim in the calm, shallow waters that make this beach a favourite of families. Sit back and admire the views of the island of La Gomera from a spot on the sand.
Watch a game of volleyball or rent snorkeling gear to explore the waters of the coast. Look for colourful damselfish, trumpet fish and sea bass. Paddleboats and scuba diving gear are also available for rent on the beach.
Walk along the pleasant beach boardwalk, which is illuminated with twinkling fairy lights in the evening. During the day, shop or have a coffee on a terrace overlooking the sea. In the evening, you’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants where you can unwind with a drink. Pair a glass of local wine from Abona, La Palma or Valle de la Orotava with a traditional fish casserole.
Head to nearby Los Cristianos for more sun and sand or to browse the boutiques in the town’s pedestrian-only centre. With its slightly more upmarket destination, you’ll find plenty of high-end shops in this lovely town.
For a more lively evening out, visit Las Americas Beach, which is known for its buzzing nightlife scene. Find some of the region’s trendiest clubs, discos and bars along Veronica's Strip. Set between cerulean waters and rugged mountains, busy Las Americas is also an inviting place to spend the day. Playa de Guincho is an excellent spot to surf or just watch the action from the safety of the sands.
Las Vistas Beach is located in southern Tenerife, within walking distance of Los Cristianos and Las Americas beaches.
