"Basic hotel but very affordable for our budget. There is a McDonald's across the street and easy access to the freeway. Breakfast is 12 Euros which is not cheap for what you get. U need a car for this hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Its a good base to explore Normandy without staying at an expensive hotel closer to the D Day Beaches. There is a Lidl a short distance away. I would stay here again if I have a vehicle. "

"The greenery environment is absolutely fantastic. It is surrounded by lots of apple trees, you can literally pick apple from all these different type of apple trees. You could see massage tree house and yoga deck which gives you a good retreat vibes. The deco inside the house is so warm and healing. The breakfast service is amazing that offered in-house produced apple juice and apple jam. The only thing is parking lot is quite small and it will be great to have complimentary tea in the room....

"Budget hotel so for the cost it is extremely good value. Would have liked a hand towel for the separate sink area, but just two bath towels provided for the wet room style toilet/shower. Continental style breakfast was good for the first two days, but on our last day (a Monday) there was very little on offer. The room was small but adequate and the bed was very comfortable. "My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Zenith and everything was perfect! The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in was easy and quick. Our room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. "If it's convenience to the train station and rental car offices you need, this could be the right place for you. It was easy to find and just a few doors down to all of the major car rental offices. It is practical and good for a one night stay. You can add a breakfast for a reasonable fee. The check-in host was fluent in both French and English."

"We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Lion d'Or. Excellent location for visiting the DDay memorials ,and seeing the sights in Bayeux. Great restaurants and shopping within a short walk. In the evening after our excursions, it was so nice to come back to the hotel where there was a warm fire in the bar and comfortable seating to relax a bit. The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious every morning. It included many options and everything was fresh and tasty. The woman who was in the restaurant every morning was kind and made our dining experience wonderful. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Monday and our schedule prevented us to have dinner in the restaurant, la Table du Lion? The menu looked special and everyone said the food was delicious. Hopefully, we will get to try it on our next trip to Bayeux. "

"The location of this hotel is perfect. The people are fabulous and friendly. We did not use any of the spa services so we can't speak to that, but the location is ideal and walkable to everything. Easy trips from here to the Normandy beaches / area. We would stay here again time and again when visiting Bayeux...this was about as close to perfect as one can hope."
