"We had a wonderful time at Hillside Lodge. It is in stunning countryside (note there is a slightly bumpy 20-30 minute drive from Luang Prabang but we found this to be an added part of the adventure) with a great pool to cool down in either after a days activity or to relax around all day. "Palais Juliana is a bit faraway from the city center. More a business than a vacation place. The hotel could use some renovation. Limited dining services. Transfer included from and to the airport is convenient, as well as the possibility of a free shuttle around Luang Prabang. "

"The room we got was a bit dated. Quite a few damage amenities in the room. Limited t.v channels. Dirty sheets and pillows. Cold and limited breakfast. Carry your own luggage. Quite far from city center and will cost 100,000 kp one way. Free tuk tuk to the airport, but don’t forget to grab your own luggage. "

"Natural environment with great staff very friendly and helpful. Always smiling. Good stay if you love the nature. The Zipline adventure is superb. Alot to do if you are a nature lover. The vast flower garden is amazing. well taken care of and great place to relax, have a picnic (I am sure the staff is able to arrange this!). Great campfire in winter months."

Nice Hotel

"The concierge and staff were friendly. They helped us book a taxi service to get to places. We could easily rent bikes to go to the night market or other areas in town. Would recommend this place! Rooms were nice and clean. One issue though, our shower drain took long to drain so there is a tendency to flood. I hope this is only an issue for our room. (A03) Breakfast selection was great too!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff are so gracious & welcoming. The room was large, beautifully decorated and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and attractively presented. Dinner was a wonderful experience. Top notch food and service! The pool was very refreshing on hot days and we took advantage of the 2-for-1 happy hour offers! "
