"My wife and I loved our stay at the Kagabi Yuzen townhouse! We stayed for a few days and it was a wonderful location to walk from to get around Kanazawa, which ended up being our favorite city during our trip around Japan. The property itself was very cozy. The beds and sitting areas were very comfy. The bathrooms and toilets were very well maintained and easy to use. The air conditioning was great and plentiful in all of the rooms where we needed it. "Strange location, near small motorway service area but no access by vehicles to or from it. Huge car parking areas but in March these were virtually empty. Excellent pool/spa and onsen which is free for guests to use and is well used by locals. Posh downstairs lounge area next to restaurant. Staff very friendly and very helpful in the pool/spa area (need a hat for pool/spa but they do lend them. Not enough information given on the restaurant, which was open until 10 pm but took last orders at 8...

"The friendly staff greeted me at the door, spoke enough english so check-in was easy and quick. They then showed me around and proceeded to assist with carrying luggage up the stairs to my room, above and beyond customer service - as with everywhere in Japan. A nice quiet accommodation with an instant friendly warmth when you walk through the door. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here."

"Beautiful traditional accommodation in historical district of Kanazawa. Very comfortable accommodation. Weather in Kanazawa was inclement and perhaps we should have been warned to bring umbrellas offered by the accommodation. Minor detail but otherwise the staff were super helpful and friendly. Such a beautiful accomodation, loved the stay and would return again. The streets are narrow so the taxis/ cars can only drop you at the closest side street, not at the front door. "I had a clean one bed unit. The staff at the cafe downstairs were friendly. Especially making their granola and fruit breakfast, Theie ginger tea was exequisite. Really appreciated the recommendation at Shirasagi for the best Ramen I've ever had. And they gave me directions to get to Kanazawa castle park and Kenroku-en while it was raining."

"Lovely design throughout featuring lots of wood. The breakfast menu isn't designed for long stays (dishes repeat) but it's delicious and served efficiently in a nice environment. The bath is nice, though it did get a little busy at times."

"We had an amazing time at this Ryokan - traditional Japanses hotel. We had a junior suite, so spacious, itcwas so relaxing. Buffet breakfast, good selection was included. We had kimonos, socks and shoes in room and traditional sweets in room everyday with an explanation of their origin. Would recommend the teahouse evening with tea house tour. Walking takes 30 mins to castle and centre."

"I stayed here travelling solo, the hotel was very nicely designed and the onsen was very nice too, and felt amazing after a long day of exploring in the cold. The breakfast was really good, and it was a great way to sample a bunch of different Japanese foods in one meal. They also give you your own pajamas which is nice if you’ve been solo travelling for a while too. Staff was very nice too. I would definitely go back if I was in Kanazawa again!"

"Loved our stay in this beautiful and modern hotel. The beds were very comfortable and we were able to walk everywhere due to its great location.
