"Enjoyed our one night stay here. Booked one hour private onsen and thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and waterfall scene. Also did the public onsen and enjoyed it as well. Yukata clothing and towels are provided. Excellent service and a sense of luxury even though the hotel itself is dated. Good breakfast."

"The lodge was absolutely wonderful. We honestly had not slept as well as we did at the lodge anywhere else in Japan. Not sure if it was the mountain air, the onsen, or the large rooms that allowed us to settle in and spread out. The hospitality was incredible; the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home, including by providing a bountiful breakfast each morning. My husband and I wish we could have stayed there our entire trip!"

"Very nice, clean accomodation, and comes with everything you need. The western breakfast were also very good. The only improvements that we can recommend is paving the road in front of the villa as it can be a bit difficult to drive in with a small sedan. "

"There are a lot of clutter in the hotel lobby, which makes it feel messy. The hotel looks a bit old, though it is clean. I arrived at the hotel after 10 o'clock at night. When I entered the door, I couldn't see the check-in counter. I went to a counter on the right. There was a card showing “ 百名湯認定証 ”, and add water room “加湯室” was behind the counter. "A nice, clean and tidy hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The styling was classical and quite appealing. The hotel has free access to guests for the seperate men's and women's onsens. It also has a rather nice sitting room with a selection of books (in japanese) to read/flick through. The breakfast was a generous buffet with a large variety of hot and cold items from typical japanese fare to more usual western toast and and cereal. We would definitely stay again."
