"the location is amazing ...overlooking the sea with access to wide open beaches and no people - a big contrast to Verkala north cliff beach. The place was clean , modern and the staff went out of their way to assist us with adapters, taxis, etc... The food was excellent though a bit overpriced. I would love to visit again !"

"One of the best places to stay. The resort retains the old Kerala vibe although providing all the modern amenities one requires for a comfortable stay. The staff is courteous, warm and responsive. Their breakfast spread is nice. It’s worth the money spent. "

"We had a lovely stay in one of the AC rooms, which had its own small seating area and was very private and peaceful. A haven from the busy Varkala. The gardens here are beautiful and well kept, the staff all sweet and attentive and helpful, available 24hr. The breakfast included at their restaurant nearby was also great. But it was quite loud at night due to neighbouring properties, but maybe due to being there in peak season! "

"The reception staff was very friendly. However the room was a disappointment. There was not toilet paper, the sheets were dirty and stained. I had to use a towel on the bottom sheet and slept in my clothes. I booked for two nights and stayed one night and checked out. The location was nice very close to the beach and local restaurants. "Really sweet spot just off the beach up a commerce alley. Jishnu the host was very nice and helpful with getting comfortable. Hot shower if you want it - but I’ve learned to love taking cold showers here - and the bathroom was perfectly clean and well appointed. I will be back here at the Gypsy next year for sure."
