Breakfast was nice but for such a large hotel would expect more options espically when full on weekend. Nice being outside of city centre but bus out the front gets you into town centre 15 - 20 minutes. Great staff"

"Studio style house with kitchen, bedroom, and living room. Rooftop swimming pool is cool with a gym, too. Very clean. The breakfast is fantastic and provided by the hotel next by, where you go from the reception very easily. Loved the stay and especially the breakfast and the sky pool"

If you are looking to walk and explore the George Town area you will be disappointed as it’s a bit far and would need to take a taxi. "You get what you expect from Marriott. At least I did. I was there for work hence it worked for me. Would I go back for leisure but I may also look at other options which is in the neighborhood for the price range. That said they delivered what a Marriott is expected to deliver."
"We stayed at the golden sands by shangri-la in penang 5th to 8th of july. We had a beach /pool facing room which i would strongly recommend. Rooms are spacious and clean, buffet breakfast had a wide variety of food, plenty of pool activities and areas of entertainment for kids,I would highly recommend this hotel to any type of visitor "
