"Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are fairly nice. Perhaps a touch on the small side. Bed is comfy. And it is outfitted with USB fixtures for your devices. Cons: Other seating is not that comfortable. Chair and couch in the room were not pleasant to sit in. Plus the $15/day "destination fee" and $52/day for valet parking (there is no other choice unless you want to drive around downtown Oakland looking for street parking. Good luck.) "parking in downtown Oakland is an issue. Only parking available at this hotel is the Valet, which is not part of the hotel, for $50/night. So you can either get robbed $50 by the Valet guy, or your car get actually robbed by parking on the street which will be more than $50 in the end. "

"Unfortunately hotels.com couldn’t cancel the reservation and I was forced to stay ina dirty room which I had to clean for breathing was difficult for the amount of dust and the wet dog smellzm.he floor was so nasty. I also had to clean it. I informed the owner or manager or owner and I was ignored. An apology would have been nice. I don’t recommend this place unless it’s cleaned."

"There were no towels. There was no remote for the tele. There were also no fridge/microwave, but, i don't believe any/all of those had been promised to start with. It was, kind of, filthy in there, but, was definitely not poopy or anything."

"It was right off the freeway. Very nice. Friendly staff. The room was large with a large bathroom and soaking tub private separate toilet. Large closet with a safe Fridge with microwave. Coffee maker had the pods. Balcony was overlooking water very nice quiet and relaxing view. All in all very good. The price was 170 well worth it compared to a 110 downtown Oakland and almost forgot free parking and no homeless around. Thank you Best Western and staff."
