"We have stayed in Dorint hotels many times. This hotel has had a number of upgrades to the Rooms, Reception area and Restaurants. The hotel was very quiet when we stayed and felt a little soulless, but overall service was good, rooms were clean and had a very comfortable stay. "

"We had a great stay at Sonneneck! We enjoyed the local town of Winterberg and the local area for hiking and site seeing as well. We had an apartment at Sonneneck that was very spacious, comfortable, secure and beautiful. We also had supper at the Sonneneck restaurant and the meal was the best we had in our entire European vacation! Huub and the Sonneneck team were very hospitable and we enjoyed talking with them and having several beers with them while we stayed there. We had such a great time...

"Beautiful Rooms and wonderful location; only negative was we were on the 4th floor with a lot of luggage (5 large bags) which was difficult to transport up tthe stairs as there wasn't a lift. Otherwise cannot fault this hotel and would stay again (but request a lower room to make it easier)."

"Off the beaten track. We were passing through on a driving tour. the hotel had a ski lodge feel. A lovely hotel with friendly staff. The room was really comfortable. Breakfast was great, loads to choose from. Freshly made strudel. There was always coffee available in the lounge."

"Schon beim Check in wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und über alles wichtige informiert. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt auch als nicht Hundebesitzer. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig, das Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert und auch sehr fair vom Preis. Latrop selber bietet auch einiges wie einen Park mit Möglichkeiten zum Spielen und Spazieren nach einem sehr guten reichhaltigen Essen."

"Einfaches Hotel mit alter aber zweckmäßiger Ausstattung. Super Bett in dem wir hervorragend geschlafen haben. Einfaches aber für uns mehr als ausreichendes Frühstück mit leckeren Brötchen von Bäcker und keine Aufbackbrötchen wie man die in vielen zig Sterne Hotels bekommt. Das ganze Hotel ist bereits in die Jahre gekommen aber das war uns vorher bewusst und auch nicht wichtig. Was wir nicht wussten war das wir dort von wundervollen Menschen versorgt und umsorgt wurden.
