The local area gives you the feeling of local life in Kathmandu. Many local food sites and places of interest. The most important aspect of the property is the staff. They make your stay. "This hotel was great. The main issue is that you can’t easily access the golf course or the park, even though they literally in the backyard of the hotel. The is a big fence blocking access to the golf course, so you have to walk 35 minutes to the next hotel and enter from there. It’s really annoying because I booked this accommodation so that I could explore the forest, but the access was actually really far away. "

"The staff at this hotel is what made our stay memorable. We were a group of 12 (a study abroad program) and the hotel staff took care of everything, from booking a bus for us and making sure it arrived on time to setting up a table and chairs on the rooftop for our daily "classroom." The food from the hotel's restaurant was delicious, too! We appreciate the attention to detail and the care the staff took to meet our needs. "

"All of the staff were super friendly, and were always eager to assist. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfy. There were several restaurants available on the property, and they all served tasty food, including the breakfast buffet. The spa, pool, and gym were also lovely. It was an amazing experience to stay here,and I definitely would stay again."

"We stayed here for almost two weeks. I have an allergy to Gluten and the chefs went out of their way to make me special food for the entire trip. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel like this was our second home. We will be going back and staying at Hotel Shambala! Thank you so much to everyone. We have travelled all over the world, and have never felt so welcome and taken care of. The staff was fabulous. Our room was always cleaned, and when we needed anything, it was there. Thank you for the amazing experience!"
