"Since we arrived tried to contact Expedia that we were upset about the room but due to poor internet connection could not get thru. Had to walk steep stairs to the 3rd floor, of an old building, huffing n puffing, rattan on chairs tattered, dilapidated mattress, filthy bacteria laden string to pull flush, toilet cover cracked, insecure seat, lumpy pillows, old stained mirror, breakfast laid out in old plastic containers.Horrible! "Very well situated on the quieter first beach, but an easy walk to the more happening second beach. Lots of restaurants and stores all around the pousada. The area feels very safe. Beautiful view from the balcony and the hammock was a nice touch! Staff were friendly. Room was simple yet clean. Air conditioning in the room was the best I’ve seen in Brasil so far. "

"we enjoyed the location as it right across from the beach. We felt very safe, and hotel host was very helpful with local information, safety, and what to do. "The Landlord lady, (Ireny) was very friendly, with always the greatest humor. Extra accomodating she goes the extra mile to help you have a great stay in every aspects! (She Even went out with you to show me some places, explore my gym options, set up my telephone line, where to go for currency exchange etc). Very chatty (but only in portuguese, so great for those who want to practice), but also very respectful of privacy. Amenities are very basic, but rooms and bathroom are clean, breakfast...

"We ordered the "suite" and it was so bad! You cant close fully the windows and the door so we had moscitos, the door of the toilet is uncloseable and the doorof the shower didnt work at all. Terrible breakfast... the staff doesn't know english at all! We were here for one night and it was more than enough. The staff doesn't tell you anything, not the breakfast time nor the wifi password"

"Nice hotel. Pool and breakfast are very nice and it is just in front of the beach. Although it is impossible to sleep, I can say it is the loudest hotel I’ve stayed. It’s right at the second beach so music goes until 2am and it is next to another restaurant where they start very early. "

"The air conditioner did not work. It leaked all night and my backpack got completely wet. I complained and they promised they were going to fix it. They didn't. The next day after my children were already sleeping they offered me a portable air conditioner. Thar was even worse as it also made the room wet and did not even heat. So the second night we were hot and wet. When I complained to reception she made me feel as I was a diffcult guest and complained for no reason. Then my husband noticed...
