This hotel is simply gorgeous, from the cedarwood scent in the foyer to the quiet elegance and luxe style of the rooms, perfect beds and the lovely clean pool and spa, I just wanted to stay longer. I received a fabulous upgrade to a corner park view room using my Expedia Gold status. Thank you to all the staff. Congratulations. I will definitely be back.

Location was great be it for shopping or sightseeing, close to public transport. The place was clean and was maintained throughout our stay. The staff were polite with their interactions with us. The daily breakfast was good value. Having the club acess, I’d say it was adequate and the view was nice. To top it all, I had a very good sleep.

Staff are rude! There is no customer service. They most unfriendly staff I have encoutered in a 5 star hotel, they shouldn't actually be classify a 5 star. There is no drinking water, nor drinking fountain, they charge for bottle still water, when we asked just tap water we were told to take from the bathroom. There is a charge for everything even providing a crockery to your room to eat. We had lottle children with us. Our deposit was hold and not return upon check out, i was told it will be return in 3 to 5 working days after we checked out, this first i am hearing of this although we were told at check in that deposit is return upon check out, which the usual practice. The staff were so rude, they were rude to each other, especially toward the junior staff. It was the most unpleasant 3 nights I have spend in a hotel, definitely not worth the over 800 nzd/ night we pay for it. I coukdn't wait to check out. I will never stay there again even if I am giving it for free.

It was ok, just not very glamorous or five star-ish. The check-in was very ordinary, the “exclusive perk” for being an Expedia member was an extra hour, which it turns out everyone else gets, member of not. The room was ok but facing west so very stuffy and a little old-fashioned. Overall, nothing wrong with the place except that it was kind of average.
