"Our 12-day stay in this hotel was wonderful!! The hotel is very conveniently located in the old city just minutes from the subway station. It is within a quick walk to the Grand Bazaar and other main places to visit. The manager Mevlet provides excellent and attentive customer service. "We chose the Mest Hotel for a four day trip to Istanbul, partly because of the location as it was centrally located close to the tourist attractions, and partly because of the attractiveness of the property and the rooms. We selected a Loft Suite because the price was really low, and we were very pleased with the room. The photos are accurate and the room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was small but it's an old building, so there's not much that could be done about that....

"This Basic Room only has a small opening not window, (situated high above the wall touching the ceiling) for some daylight into the room & noise from the street. This one & only Basic Room is at the basement opposite the kitchen and does not come with attached bathroom. The mattress needs changing. The plus point of this small setup is the very friendly reception that’s helpful & kind. "

"Historic building with beautiful decorative details used throughout. Location is really lovely as you are in walking distance of all the historic spots. Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi palace along with the tram line too. Very went with an 8 year and perfect to be out straight away to your destination. Staff all were so lovely and helpful. Zuleha kept our rooms spotless. It was lovely everything replenished straight away. And overall just looked after really well. Breakfast was solid. I can’t fault it lovely team. Just the selection is a little smaller but that could be as we went out of season but everything is still good quality. And I love that there is no waste as all left over are feed to the seagulls. Wi-Fi connection is not the best. So this means you do need to get some data or eSIM on your phone. It’s just it would have been helpful for Google translate to speak. Safety all really safe and trust worthy and really respectful. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I ever get another chance in the future in sha allah"
