"Not the cheapest place to stay, but reasonable by western standards, especially given the high level of service in a classic, elegant building in an excellent location. The spa services - especially the packaging of massage and hammam - were wonderful (though, again, not very cheap by Istanbul standards). The breakfast was excellent and included made-to-order eggs. The room was very comfortable, with all the amenities one would expect in a high-end hotel. "

"We booked a corner room. Room was ready upon check in. We were disappointed with the low floor. We called and asked for a higher floor. They said they didn’t have any available that day. But would call the following day with an update. Never received a call. Otherwise stay was great. HK did a great job. We had a drink and a dessert at the lobby bar. And breakfast the final day. Wonderful meals! Thank you. "

"GLK Acropol staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay in Istanbul, especially Mustafa and Emre. Hussein at reception was helpful in arranging the Bosphorus Cruise for us as well as transfer back to IST on our departure day. Although the hotel is a bit old, the management has kept it well maintained. The location of the hotel is phenomenal, however do keep in mind there several bars on this street, if you sleep in early be aware it can be some what noisy at night. "

"This is a beautiful historic hotel. Mustafa Ataturk stayed at this hotel as did many world known celebrities. The hotel had preserved the rooms that Ataturk used and now show them as a museum. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They always answer with a smile. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. "

"Location, Location, Location. Everything was excellent. Just a note: the room size is very, very small, and there are no spa amenities on site. Understandable but worth noting."
