"Our experience was great. Hotel has a great easy to walk location and the views from the balcony is amazing. The service was impeccable and without question the room was one of the better ones we've stayed in, very nicely appointed with a very comfortable bathroom, the Nexpresso machine gave it a nice touch. I would recommend it to anybody."

"We stayed in the chic side of the lodge, which is a slightly elevated hotel room rather than a hostel. It was not luxurious but it was clean, quiet and roomy with a lovely view of the mountains. The breakfast was simple. It is not located in the village of Grindelwald but with the free bus pass, it is easy to get back and forth. It is next to the Terminal which is great for getting the train and the Top of Europe cable car. Overall, it was good for us but might not be everyone’s cup of tea."

"Property has a beautiful garden and picnic area. View from our room balcony was a great picture of Interlaken West. Breakfast was very good (free!) and staff attentive and informative. Hotel is decorated with beautiful period photos and antiques."

"Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. The restaurant offered good Swiss food and a nice breakfast buffet. Staff were very nice. It’s right up the hill from the train station, so very convenient. They will pick you up if...
