"Not much English spoken (Google translate to the rescue) nor on the menus, first night we went to the dining area but were escorted to the snack bar for some strange reason, WATCH OUT for the stealth “bathing/ hot springs” tax of ¥600 at check-out, even though we didn’t even use the pool or any other facilities (not a word of it when we checked in- hadn’t we been pressed for time to return the car back at Haneda I’d have refused to pay and told them to call the cops but hey…), not even a sachet...

"We had the most wonderful stay from beginning to end! Service was friendly and gracious. The room was beautiful. As was the onsen. And both breakfast and dinner were superb.
