"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Hakone Stage. The Villa itself is quite spacious (we had a family of three staying) - a welcome change from the cramped living conditions in Tokyo. The villa was clean and very comfortable. The location is right next to both the "pirate" ship port and the ropeway to the top of Owakudani. "The owner is not kind or friendly, I had to wait in rain around 40 minutes before a kind neighbor arrived and helped, no bed is ok but tatami and everything is short, I’m 5’8 only and I had to try sleeping in half moon position, no bathroom attached bed room, at night time you have to go down into a very steep stairs which is dangerous, no taxi can enter the premise and will not come to get you. "We had a very brief stay and it was clean, comfortable and as described on the website. Very happy. About 8-10 min walk from train station, beautiful walk over the footbridge. Only issue is lack of restaurants after 19:00 and we never received our code to check in to the room-luckily staff was onsite to quickly assist!"

"Very Nice property and great location. Clean and modern with comfortable beds and large enough space. Only 2 small complaints. 1. The bath towels are very small and thin. Not the same level that you would find in a hotel, they are just a little larger than a hand towel. 2. And another problem that I have been censored to mention."

"Amazing hotel with stunning views of Lake Ashi. All-inclusive resort style, with Breakfast and dinner buffet included. Onsen with indoor and open air pools, all necessary toiletries provided, toothbrush/toothpaste, razors, q tips, combs, amazing skin care products! The Hakone Ropeway is just a 3-5 minute walk. It was a very relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Definitely recommend and would love to stay here again!"

"I absolutely loved my stay there everything was perfect! From food to the room, the staff! They were so nice and helpful. Plus the hotel is beautiful, there’s free drinks, the onsen is simply wonderful. Really close to togendai! Even a family mart! 1000/10 the experience was just wonderful"

"Excellent onsen ryokan at a very competitive price. You to select three 50 minute sessions in one of the three on-site onsens per day (one in the morning, two in then evening). The staff were friendly and accommodating. It's a bit of a hike uphill from the station but nothing someone moderately fit can't handle."
