"The Taj buggy driver Shiv or Shiva has friends that he refers you to for rickshaws and they only take you to set shops where they get paid commission. It was infuriating because your shopping time is wasted. It’s a connection system. They’re all government shops that the rickshaws take you too. Not impressed with Shiva from Taj. "We had a poor experience at the rooftop sky bar. The staff seemed overwhelmed. We received our drinks after our dinner arrived. This is after asking several servers to check on our drink ordrs. We did not order anything compllicated! My husband ordered a bottle of beer and I ordered a glass of wine. When we brought that to the manager's attention, her response was " Sorry Ma'am". That was it !!! On the positive note, we got the best massage in the spa. Shoutout to Jyoti. She was amazing!"

"It is a nice place in a secluded garden and the room are spacious and in old style. Breakfast is good and the roof terrace is excellent for the breakfast. What lets the hotel down is - first of all - wi-fi. This is the worst one we have encountered in many, many years. Could not send a photo on WhatsUp, could not do the check-in for a flight. The other problem is that you cannot get any alcohol, not even beer or wine. Last but not least, dinner food was very ordinary but rather pricey."

"Lovely hotel and high-touch service. Very nice food and great outdoor dining spot. Spa treatment was very good but a crew was setting up for a wedding and the noise definitely interrupted the tranquility of the massage. "

"The nearby area wasn’t good"

"Overall, liked the location, convenience of rooftop restaurant but you need to take tuktuk to carry your luggage. There are no elevators and may be inconvenient for elderly parents. "

"Location was close to the lake and had a great view and was close to nearby attractions. The hotel lacked an elevator, gym, pool and was older. I don’t mind and older hotel which is nostalgic but it needed some amenities. Restaurants were convenient."

"This was a once in a lifetime experience. The level and quality of service from the time we were picked up at the airport to the time we were dropped off was unparalleled and exquisite.
