"Better than expected, the room was well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with 3 choices of pillows. Unfortunately the mini fridge didn't work in my room, but that wasn't a major issue. I ate dinner in the Grand Pacific restaurant, the food was good but it's quite a loud environment on a Saturday evening. "Lovely hotel. Close to harrogate centre. Lovely bar area, recently refurbished . The new Amber restaurant was amazing. Rooms a bit dated and tatty. Have not been decorated in years ( I stayed here in 2018 and still the same decor. Bed comfy and big rooms. "

"Only a 1 night business trip, so no time to make full use of the facilities. The staff however were excellent, especially Robin who was on reception when I arrived late in the evening to check in. My reservation had not been properly added to the system and so she was unable to check me in. We quickly established that I should have been booked in and although it took nearly 30 mins to resolve she ensured I was looked after, arranged a drink from the bar and ensured the issue was resolved. Very good, clean room and bathroom. Good shower

"Thank you to the cleaners for preparing our room- it was spotless and very welcoming and much appreciated. There was plenty of room. The separate toilet was much better than being in the shower room as often is in these types of hotels. We parked in the hotel car park. The guy on reception wasn’t particularly welcoming but check in went ok. "

"Cheap, furniture look like second hand, chairs are coming off onto pieces. The bathroom is very small, cannot turn in it. Shower tray and curtains are dirty and mouldy. Shower head holder fixed with a rusty nail across. Simply very cheap and dirty, hostel style. The place was very cold on arrival, no one cared to switch on the heating even at low temperature before arrival. Bathroom has no heating and is freezing cold as well as being very small and dirty."
