Beautiful Japanese onsen experience

"This is such a luxurious place to stay if you love the Japanese tatami room experience! Even though the hotel is right in the middle of Beitou, right next to the lovely Beitou Park, they do a magnificent job of making you feel you're in the middle of a forest somewhere, far from the city, when you're indoors. I loved having a soaking tub in my room as well as access to the beautiful public footbath (my favorite!) and gorgeous bathing areas, which are up high enough so that all you see out of the window are the tree tops. And the food! The summer kaiseki dinner was delicately flavored with light floral notes (and plenty of flowers as decoration), while the breakfast buffet was so good that I think I went back about six times! The Kagaya is a serene Japanese oasis right in the middle of greater Taipei - I hope to stay there again many times in the future."

"Hotel is few minutes or opposite the Xin Bei Tou MTR and is just digonally opposite the junction. Room is small but nice as solo. In room proivde many TV and movies option and can hot pool if need. Nice. Walking distant to library, night market and beside is Carefour and pharmacy. Nice and relax place."

Great little hotel

"This is a lovely hotel right on the hot springs creek in Beitou. The bed is comfortable, room is slightly small but great for a solo traveler. Has a huge wonderful bathing room. Staff was kind and breakfast was good. Not a buffet but good choice of Asia or western plate. It also has a very nice lounging area. The toilet room has clear glass walls so be aware of that. It’s in a quiet area just steps from the Beitou Park. "
